Kimono Inspired Dresses
If you want a fresh summer look, try a kimono inspired dress. You can find these fun dresses in most shops right now in an assortment of great prints and fabrics. The best thing about this type of dress is they can be worn to a variety of occasions, and easily transform from daytime to evening. I love this look with a great clutch, strappy sandals and earrings (less is more with this look- don’t overdo the jewelry).

Diane Von Furstenberg’s Animal Prints
Diane Von Furstenberg is one of my absolute favorite designers. If you haven’t tried on any of her dresses, do so, you’ll fall in love! Her garments are made from exquisite fabrics and she always has such interesting prints. This season is no exception with her wide range of animal printed dresses. There are so many fantastic ones that it was hard to choose only a few to showcase in this blog. I definitely have to have the Snow Pony one- Gorgeous!

Top 5: Summer Shorts
It’s heating up outside, so I’m applying the sunless tanner to my pale legs and breaking out the shorts. In an effort to still be fashionable in hotter than hot temperatures, I’ve discovered some really cool shorts. The key to stylishly wearing shorts is finding the right length that suits your body, (unless you’re Kate Moss then you can wear any length and still look fabulous!) Here are my top 5 summer shorts:

2. Gap Petite Boyfriend Shorts, $39.50 at the Gap
3. Diane von Furstenberg Taipa Cuffed Shorts – Dark Khaki, $198.00 at Saks.com
4. 7 For All Mankind Boyfriend Shorty

Wild, Wild, Wedge
Wowza! Designers have taken the wedge to new heights and I’m lovin’
it. The wedge craze has been around for quite a while, but we’re seeing fresh, over the top styles so you’ll definitely find a pair that will standout from past seasons. Today, some of the hottest styles are detailed with cork, rope and patent leather. These wedge-soled shoes make a great match with billowy skirts and cropped cargos. If you’re at all style conscious, add a pair (or two) of these wedges to your spring and summer wardrobe.
Diane Von Furstenberg Opal Wedges, $295.00 at ssense.com
Sergio Rossi Tri-Colored Wedge Sandals, $690.00 at Intermix.com
Proenza Schouler Curved Wedge Sandals, $1,220.00 at net-a-porter.com

Spring dress fever – Diane Von Furstenberg
Uh, this dress is just what the doctor ordered this spring! The over-sized loose casual cut creates a comfort quality and the open neck is revealing enough to feel sexy. Green is one of my favorite colors and this shade is very soothing. Thank you, Diane Von Furstenberg, for a beautiful spring dress… that I just might have to splurge on.
