Mulberry Handbags

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Founded in 1971, English luxury company Mulberry has become known for beautifully crafted handbags with understated details and superior quality using the finest leathers and exotic skins. Mulberry has two iconic styles, the Mulberry Bayswater and the Mulberry Roxanne, which are seen each season and still a must-have because of their classic silhouettes. I also like the design details of the Mulberry Leah Shoulder Bag. The hardware and double buckle pockets make this bag not only chic but very functional too.

LeSportsac has come a long way from the simple, sporty nylon bags that were originally introduced in the 1970s. The brand is constantly reinventing itself with designer collections full of new styles, colors and whimsical prints. Collaborations with Stella McCartney, Jonathan Adler, Diane von Furstenberg, tokidoki and Gwen Stefani has given LeSportsac universal appeal, making it the top brand for casual nylon bags in the U.S., Mexico, Asia and Europe. The diverse product line includes handbags, travel bags, totes, messenger bags, backpacks and baby bags.

LeSportsac has recently partnered with Lilly Pulitzer to create a new accessories collection for Spring 2010.  The range of signature LeSportsac handbags, small accessories, and tennis sleeve all feature three vibrant Lilly Pulitzer prints. Start shopping for LeSportsac on beso!

Fun

So here’s the thing: I have started to wonder if the good folks at Coach are suffering from multiple personality disorder. I mean… Are they doing Dooney and Bourke (ok, could be the other way around), are they channeling Betsey Johnson? Or are they trying to create their own thing, altogether?

BUT. Crazy or not, I’m really digging the new designs for Holiday ’09. For those into branded products, their Inlaid C Brooke bags are fab. The Kristin Collection makes me swoon. And to tell you the truth, I’m seriously coveting the Patent Large Spotlight.

BUT.

As with anything, you take the good with the bad. And some of it is bad. Very, very bad. So it’s confusing.

BUT.

See for yourself and make up your own mind. And while you’re at it, take advantage of some of the great deals on Coach running right now on beso. You’d be crazy not to.

Tory Burch Efram Hobo Handbag

Tory Burch Efram Hobo Handbag

Sorry, Zac.  But when it comes to good looks and dependability, this bag wins us over any day.  With sleek glazed leather and embossed resin studs, Tory Burch’s Efram Hobo is at the top of our wishlists this fall.  Plus, it’s more likely that we’ll get this bag than get you.  We can picture tossing in our blackberries, Tom Ford sunglasses, keys, and wallets without giving a second thought as to whether or not the bag can keep up with our busy lifestyle or leave us for some young starlet.

Yorktown Road Tote and Purse

I am an official Yorktown Road fan. The materials are well chosen and the designs are simple and classy with a subtle modern twist. These soft-washed natural linen mini-zip purse and tote are very sweet with a thick and thin pleat touch and natural canvas lining.

If you need a bit more color, they also come in this rich golden yellow, deep orange and dark teal.

Urban Heirlooms Wallet-Purse

I was shopping around for purses for a friend’s birthday and after hours of online “window” gazing, I finally found this cute little leather wallet by Urban Heirlooms at Etsy. It’s not a full blown handbag, but it’s unique and uses vintage materials. I’m pro-recycling second hand pieces when it’s done right, and I like the creative replacement of buckle or snap with a vintage key. There is original design out there if you dig deep enough and it always beats the gift certificate cop out.
