Trench coats are classic, staple pieces that no wardrobe should be without! With every season change I do a wardrobe assessment to clear out and make room for new clothes. In preparation or fall, I spent Saturday organizing my closet and found an old trench that was severely outdated! It’s heating up outside, so I’m applying the sunless tanner to my pale legs and breaking out the shorts. In an effort to still be fashionable in hotter than hot temperatures, I’ve discovered some really cool shorts. Where do I shop when all else fails where I’m assured to find some fantastic, stylish clothing? Topshop of course. I was first turned on to the British high street shop when I lived in England. My English boyfriend described them as a stylish and edgy Banana Republic, but a bit more cutting edge than any US mainstream store. If you’re not familiar with Topshop, check them out. Yes, actually. Who is the ghost-designer behind this faux pas? Apparently someone who doesn’t observe Kate a whole lot. What’s wrong with this picture? Look at what Kate Moss wears and look at what she sells at TopShop with her name on it. Granted her fashion sense has been on a downward spiral since she’s been arm in arm with Jamie Hince of The Kills, aka “the worst dressed man in Britain“, but still. We all know that Kate Moss would rather die than be caught wearing these Little House on the Prairie or Greek funeral dresses. Sorry, Kate. I love you, but whatever your current drug of choice is, it’s not working for you.
